As small business owners and especially creative entrepreneurs, it's easy to get lonely. In late 2018, my husband and I moved to California. We are both from South Carolina, so our new home was a big adjustment. The busyness set in and the burnout came quickly. I was unhappy and honestly homesick.
So, I started connecting with more people. From that moment on, everything was different. I was happier at work. Joy came back into my life. Having just one close friend changed everything for me. That's the power of community.
We are meant to be in community with each other. Our humanness is the biggest thing that connects us. No matter who we are or where we come from, we all share in the human experience. We all know what it's like to be human. I believe that's what connects us.
